Ambitions
These are my hopes and aspirations for 2011. I would love to hear some of yours as well and we can cheer each other on!
Personal Ambitions:
1. Take a pottery class
2. Learn to play a beautiful violin solo (changed my mind)
3. Refresh myself in 2 piano solos (working on several)
4. Learn a few new guitar songs for accompanying.
5. Get down to a size 5/6 (lost 4 pounds so far)
6. Find the recipe for and make my favorite buttery chicken and rice casserole
7. To have a walk with Yeshua as natural as breathing and as close as the air around me ~ still working on it
8. More contentment in this world – financially and circumstantially, & an unquenchable thirst to know, love & serve Elohim. ~ definitely see this happening
9. Try a new recipe every month (see Simply Delicious)
10. Learn to make beeswax pillars and tapersDONE
11. Learn to knit (changed my mind)
12. Finish the cross-stitch pictures for my children, the quilt for my dh & the crocheted afghan I began in 2009.
13. Brush up on my Spanish (reviewing with the children)
14. Brush up on my Sign Language
15. Learn Hebrew (learned the letters and pronunciation and a few words so far)
16. Create a recipe for Coconut Oil Soap DONE
Family Plans:
1. To spend more 1-on-1 time with each of my children
2. To give my husband more personal attention
3. Consistent and meaningful time of family worship ~ making great strides!
4. Read 4 books together as a family (One Holy Fire, reading Finding God and God’s Smuggler)
5. One major family work project ~ Pulled hundreds of weeds on the property, working on the garden together DONE
6. One major family adventure
7. Learn Scripture together as a family ~ memorizing Psalm 27 right now
8. Prepare an hours worth of music as a family to minister to others in our home or in nursing homes, etc

Kare, Have you read Stepping Heavenward? We read it in our women’s Bible study and it was excellent, and perhaps you too would like it? I’ve found it so encouraging as a Christian women and would like to read it yearly myself.

could you explain #8 of personal ambitions? Thanks. Do you mean being satisfied with your earthly possessions but having an everlasting thirst for God?

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. Maybe I should reword that =)
