Mom’s Beef Stroganoff


Mom’s Beef Stroganoff

  • 2# venison (burger or steaks cut into cubes)
  • 1# fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 21 oz beef broth (set aside 3/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 cups sour cream

Saute the mushrooms and onion in the butter and then add venison.  After the venison is cooked, add the broth, ketchup, garlic and salt, then mix in flour and remaining broth.  At the end, stir in the sour cream and serve over noodles.
