A dear friend of mine introduced us to this most delicious sandwich. It’s great with homemade Tomato Soup!
Specialty Grilled Cheese:
- loaf of homemade wheat bread, generously buttered on one side
- sharp Tillamook cheddar cheese
- organic cream cheese
For each sandwich, generously butter one side and spread a thick layer of mayonnaise on the other side of a slice of homemade wheat bread. Add spicy brown mustard to taste and mix with the mayonnaise. Place the buttered side of the bread on your griddle and top with cheddar. On the other slice of the sandwich spread cream cheese and sprinkle with garlic. Place on top of the first slice with the buttered side facing up.
Grill to desired doneness and flip to the other side. You will be completely amazed at how delicious this is. =) My mouth is salivating just thinking about it!
Serve with piping hot homemade Tomato Soup and a dark, leafy green salad.
