Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats

Our little farm resides on beautiful prairie with exquisite mountain views. We have had a total of about 10 years of goat experience and from the moment we discovered the Nigerian Dwarf Goat it has been our favorite breed.

We loved our little wonder goats and are sure you will love them just as much as we do.

Welcome to the world of mini-milkers! We’re so glad you stopped by! Please send us a note and introduce yourself. We’d love to meet you!

There are so many reasons why we chose the Nigerian Dwarf, but just in case we are prejudiced, let’s compare.  =)

Prolific – it is common for Nigerians to have 3 or 4 or even 6 kids at a time; many larger breeds have one or maybe two
Better tasting milk – we have had several breeds of goat and although Oberhasli does not tend to have a goaty flavor, there is NOTHING as delicious as Nigerian Dwarf milk!
Higher butterfat – more cheese yield per gallon than every other breed
Higher food to milk ratio
Higher size to milk ratio
Easier to manage – they are about the size of a golden retriever; easy for children to lead, easy to lift, less danger to children
Less feed – we fed about a bale per week to our 5-6 goats.
Less space required – two could easily live in a small back yard and many towns allow this
Very cute
Sweet personalities
More nutritious milk
Easy to transport – even in the back of a Honda CRV
