According to this excellent article at VeryWellMind there are myriads of health benefits to being cozy ~ or hygge, as I prefer to call it.  I plan to explore all of them and share some that I have personally discovered as well!

My favorite on the list?  Deep Tissue Massage.  I have found a local therapist that is absolutely amazing, but if you look for deep tissue massage in your area, it should be about the same.  When I first went to her my shoulders were so tight I could hardly get my shirts on.  Thankfully she was able to save me from having surgery!  I am a definite believer!

Exercise can be hygge too! Here are some cozy home exercises to get you started:

Yoga With Adriene – talk about cozy!  Adriene’s soothing voice is extraordinary and the exercises are gentle even when they are difficult.  You can do these from the comfort of your home and yet feel like she is right there beside you!  I highly recommend “HOME: a 30 Day Journey!” Which is FREE on YouTube.

Callanetics – there are several options for this.  I used to have the VHS and the book (although I would not recommend the book because it doesn’t explain how to do as well as watching her), but I paid a few dollars on iTunes and now I can watch it on my iPad anytime I want.  The DVD is also available for purchase on Amazon.  Callanetics can be done from home.  The exercises work DEEPLY with very small movements and visible results are rapid!

Body FX, Figure 8 Basics – this one is much more difficult than the other two, but again, can be done in your home.  I purchased the basics so I can do it when I want to, but they also have programs you can pay for monthly.

BodyGroove –  If Yoga With Adrienne is the most cozy, then this one is the most fun!  I love dancing because it’s a sneaky way to exercise and this is dancing exercise.  So much fun!  And Misty has the best personality!  Again, this one has many, many options – memberships, products and they all look great, but I just go to YouTube and watch them for FREE.  I like free!  And like the others, this can be done at home!

Walking is also a fantastic way to get exercise and get out to meet people.

In our blog we will also be talking about CBD, what cannabinoids are and how they benefit us.  These fascinating little life forms are POWERFUL.
